A bold move that proved rewarding!
I enjoyed my stay in a cozy room with a stunning view of Tokyo Skytree. The public bath was a delightful surprise, providing a relaxing atmosphere. Conveniently located near Ueno Park and a short walk from the JR line, it made exploring easy. A buffet breakfast offered sufficient options to start my day!

excellent location, close to Ueno train station, one water bottle per person
Room lacked adequate heating control during winter!!! The nearby Ueno area is not very friendly for tourists!!! Naming confusion among APA hotels makes locating the right one quite frustrating!!!

Convenient location with a cozy bath
Staying at Apa Hotel Ueno Ekimae was a snug experience. The added bonus of the public bath on the 15th floor really elevated my stay after long days of exploring Tokyo.
However, I did encounter some inconvenience with the self-check-in process, as the machine struggled to read my foreign credit card. It took extra time, which was a little frustrating.

the room was shockingly small, where I could barely open my suitcase, and the self-check-in process was bafflingly complicated. I half expected a welcome gift for such inconvenience but received none. I almost thought about giving a good review, until I realized I should have been treated like royalty, not just another visitor.

Centrally located near Ueno Park and transit options, making it easy to explore. The room, although small, was well-furnished with a Japanese toilet and amenities. The onsen on the top floor was a highlight, but the automated check-in process was quite frustrating.
